Alaskans 4 Personal Freedom held its annual FREEDOM conference on Saturday, October 3, titled “Beyond the Narrative.” The theme for the all-day conference was “the truth begins where the script ends.” It featured expert presentations on hyperbaric oxygen therapy, food as medicine, DEI and AI in education, vaccines, water purification, and more.
Dr. Denham, a hyperbaric oxygen expert, stated Alaska has the highest traumatic-brain-injury rate in the country and a suicide rate three times the national average, arguing “we cannot afford to not treat concussions.” She said HBOT is successful in helping some veterans and student-athletes with suicidal ideation and depression by treating traumatic brain injuries. According to Dr. Denham, suicide becomes 3-4x more likely after someone has a concussion, offering a potential contributing factor of Alaska’s high suicide rates.
Paul Runko spoke on DEI in K12 education. He said about 80 percent of polled parents want schools to disclose gender-identity issues, but schools all across America allow or even require teachers to withhold that information from parents. He quoted American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten’s 2021 remark about using the pandemic “for the society we want to see,” and said the National Education Association of Alaska received $34 million over eight years through deductions made automatically to teachers’ salaries. Schools are subsequently becoming more left-wing in ideology, but producing dismal results as far as math and reading goes.
There were several other speakers who spoke on alternative cancer treatments, healthcare legislation, childhood vaccines, and more.
